Bindu Shekhar Jha is a Senior Maritime Professional who has handled diverse and mission-critical roles across the international shipping arena since 1991, when he commenced sailing after graduating with a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
With over 35 years of marine experience, of which more than 21 years have been ashore, Bindu has directed and executed every facet of ship management — including Technical Management, Environmental Compliance, HSE, Crewing, Training, and New Buildings for global client fleets.
His vessel expertise spans Product Tankers, Container Ships, Chemical Carriers, LPG/Ethylene Carriers, Pure Car Truck Carriers (PCTC), and Bulk-carrier fleets. Furthermore, he has served as an active member of the prestigious Intertanko Environmental Committee for the last 3 years, contributing directly to international environmental policy.

Following a MARPOL contravention at a major shipping company in 2016, a strict US Department of Justice (DOJ) imposed Environmental Compliance Plan (ECP) was mandated.
